Testing.

(1) Operational tests. Prior to initial use you must test all new and altered derricks to ensure compliance with this section including the following functions:

(a) Load hoisting and lowering.

(b) Boom up and down.

(d) Operation of clutches and brakes of hoist.

(2) Anchorages. The appointed person must approve all anchorages by the appointed person. Rock and hairpin anchorages may require special testing.
