(1) An operator shall provide, locate, and maintain working carbon monoxide alarms that are in compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the building code, WAC 51-51-0315.
(2) An operator shall provide, locate, and maintain working smoke detectors that are in compliance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the building code, WAC 51-51-0314.
(3) An operator shall provide properly working fire extinguishers in dwelling units where occupants sleep if the dwelling unit does not have a second means of emergency egress. Fire extinguishers must be:
(a) A minimum 2A:10BC;
(b) Installed and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions;
(c) Installed in accordance with local ordinances, codes, and regulations when applicable.
