Reckless operation of a tank vessel—Penalty.
(1) A person commits the crime of reckless operation of a tank vessel if, while (a) navigating a tank vessel, (b) piloting a tank vessel, or (c) on the vessel control bridge and in control of the motion, direction, or speed of a tank vessel, the person, with recklessness as defined in RCW
9A.08.010, causes a release of oil.
(2) Reckless operation of a tank vessel is a class C felony under chapter
9A.20 RCW.
