The department encourages informal settlement of matters before the agency. Any party who believes their interest in an adjudicative proceeding may be settled informally may contact the department's designated representative and communicate their settlement proposal to the designated representative. The department specifically adopts WAC 10-08-230 setting forth procedures for informal settlements.
