A person may request that the office conduct a review pursuant to RCW 42.56.530 of a state agency's denial of records requested by him or her. Requests for such review shall be directed to Public Records Review, Office of the Attorney General, P.O. Box 40100, Olympia, Washington 98504-0100, publicrecords@atg.wa.gov. If the state agency provides the records, the office will not issue a written opinion because the question has become moot. However, if the state agency continues to deny access to the records, the office will provide the person with a written opinion on whether the record is exempt.

Nothing in this section shall be deemed to establish an attorney-client relationship between the attorney general and a person making a request under this section.
