WSR 17-23-075 EMERGENCY RULES DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE [Order 17-316—Filed November 13, 2017, 4:16 p.m., effective November 15, 2017] Effective Date of Rule: November 15, 2017. Purpose: Amends recreational fishing regulations for the Dungeness River. Citation of Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 220-312-02000R. Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest. Reasons for this Finding: This emergency rule is needed to reopen fishing on the Dungeness River which was closed by WSR 17-23-022. Recent rains allowed the coho needed to satisfy broodstock needs to reach the Dungeness Hatchery.
