Prevailing Rate of Wage Publication - Emergency Corrections

Pursuant to RCW 39.12.015, 39.12.020 and WAC 296-127-011, on February 1, 2017, the industrial statistician made corrections to the prevailing wage rates impacted by the increased minimum wage under Initiative 1433. Under Section 3 of Initiative 1433, RCW 49.46.020 was amended to set the new minimum wage rate of $11.00 per hour.

Under prevailing wage rules, WAC 296-127-011(1), the corrected rates are effective immediately. However, the updated minimum wage was effective January 1, 2017. Employers have an independent obligation for minimum wage under chapter 49.46 RCW.
