Medicaid fraud control unit, implementing RCW 74.66.020(5) by adjusting Washington Medicaid False Claims Act (FCA) civil penalties to be equivalent to Federal False Claims Act civil penalties in order to remain compliant with the Deficit Reduction Act mandate that our state FCA be at-least-as-effective in rewarding and facilitating qui tam actions for false and fraudulent claims as those in the federal act. See Section 1909 (b)(2), sections 3730 through 3732 of the Federal False Claims Act. A CR-101 has not yet been filed. |
