Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 204-36 WAC, Authorized emergency vehicle permits.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 46.37.194.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Updating current language for clarification to include the addition of definitions. The language changes will also include new standards for background checks and restrictions on signs, shield markings, accessories and insignia used on uniforms, clothing or equipment which may imply that the operator is a law enforcement officer.

     Process for Developing New Rule: Agency initiated.
