A person, firm, corporation, or governmental agency may request elevator field technical services from the department by paying a fee of $104.20 per hour or any portion thereof (including travel time) plus the standard per diem and mileage allowance granted to department inspectors.
These field technical services may include code evaluation, code consultation, plan examination, code interpretation, and clarification of technical data relating to the application of the department's conveyance rules. Field technical services do not include inspections.
