Can an employee be on an internal layoff list for classes with a higher salary range than the class from which the employee is being laid off?
An employee may be on the internal layoff list for classes with a higher salary range than the class from which the employee is being laid off as long as the employee has held permanent status in the higher class and the employer's layoff procedure allows access to higher level classes.
