Screening.
Separate from a scored competitive examination, screening is the use of assessment tools including, but not limited to application or resume reviews, pass/fail skill tests, supplemental questionnaires, or identification of job-related competencies to narrow the field of job seekers that will be considered for inclusion within the certified pool.
