May a person receive a copy of their criminal background check results?

(1) The department will provide a person a copy of their criminal background check results if the person:

(a) Submits a written request to the department; and

(b) Offers proof of identity, such as picture identification.

(2) A copy of a WSP criminal background check result may also be obtained from the Washington state patrol according to the Washington State Criminal Records Privacy Act under chapter 10.97 RCW.
