(1) Effective each state fiscal year, except rebase implementation years, the department may adjust all cost-based conversion factors (CBCF), per diem rates, and per case rates, by an inflation factor (vendor rate increase), as determined by the state legislature and supported in the state's budget. The department does not automatically give an inflation increase to negotiated conversion factors for contracted hospitals participating in the hospital selective contracting program.
(2) For dates of admission on and after August 1, 2007, except for rebase implementation years, the department makes adjustments to the hospital's DRG conversion factors, per diem rates, and per case rates, by an inflation factor (vendor rate increase), as authorized and determined by the legislature and supported in the state's budget.
