WSR 18-11-095 EMERGENCY RULES DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE [Order 18-97—Filed May 18, 2018, 4:16 p.m., effective June 8, 2018, 6:00 p.m.] Effective Date of Rule: June 8, 2018, 6:00 p.m. Purpose: Amends freshwater recreational rules for Lake Sylvia. Citation of Rules Affected by this Order: Repealing WAC 220-312-02000C; and amending WAC 220-312-020. Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest. Reasons for this Finding: This rule change is necessary to ensure a safe and successful kids fish-in event. The fish will be planted the evening prior to the event to better acclimate them to the lake. There is insufficient time to adopt permanent rules. Notwithstanding the provisions of WAC 220-312-02000Y and WAC 220-312-020, effective 6:00 p.m. June 8 through 6:00 a.m. June 9, 2018, it is unlawful to fish in waters of Lake Sylvia (Grays Harbor Co.).
