BELLEVUE COLLEGE

     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Chapter 132H-116 WAC, Parking and traffic rules.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 28B.50.140. 04-01-046, § 132H-116-300, filed 12/11/03, effective 1/11/04. Statutory Authority: Chapter 34.05 RCW and RCW 28B.50.140. 92-13-097 (Order 115, Resolution No. 206), § 132H-116-300, filed 6/17/92, effective 7/18/92; Order 43, § 132H-116-300, filed 8/10/76.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Bellevue College is planning to implement parking fees to help cover the cost of maintaining transportation and parking options.

     Process for Developing New Rule:       Negotiated rule making; and proposed changes are being presented to the campus community for feedback. Bargaining units are being contacted and impact will be negotiated.

     Interested parties can participate in the decision to adopt the new rule and formulation of the proposed rule before publication. Bellevue College will hold information/feedback sessions on the proposed changes.
