     Subject of Possible Rule Making: Definitions.

     Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 77.12.047.

     Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The ease of measuring the length of certain fish species may be facilitated by providing an alternative definition of length thereby reducing handling time and reducing the variance of the measured length where length is a component of the harvest/management strategy for conservation.

     Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: None.

     Process for Developing New Rule:      Agency study.

Contact by September 15, 2006. Expected proposal filing on or after September 20, 2006.
