Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 388-310-1600 WorkFirst sanctions, and any or all related WAC.
Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 74.08.090.
Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: The Economic Services Administration will be proposing changes to the sanction process for WorkFirst participants.
Other Federal and State Agencies that Regulate this Subject and the Process Coordinating the Rule with These Agencies: Washington State Employement Security Department.
Process for Developing New Rule: DSHS welcomes the public to take part in developing the rules. Anyone interested in participating should contact the staff person indicated below. After the rule is drafted, DSHS will file a copy with the Office of the Code Reviser with a notice of proposed rule making and send a copy to everyone currently on the mailing list and to anyone else who requests a copy. DSHS will consider all comments. The Economic Services Administration's regulatory improvement team (RIT) will also review these rules before adoption.
