Subject of Possible Rule Making: The state Parks and Recreation Commission is reviewing chapter 352-48 WAC, Snowmobile account grants and contracts and chapter 352-56 WAC, Winter recreational program grants and contracts. Following its review, the commission may propose amendments to these chapters.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: Chapter 46.10 RCW, Snowmobiles, RCW 46.10.080 and 46.10.210; chapter 79A.05 RCW, Parks and Recreation Commission, RCW 79A.05.250.

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: Chapter 352-48 WAC, Snowmobile account grants and contracts, establishes the state Parks and Recreation Commission's procedures for the administration of grants and contracts supported by snowmobile account funds. Chapter 352-56 WAC, Winter recreational program grants and contracts, establishes the state Parks and Recreation Commission's procedures for the administration of grants and contracts supported by winter recreational program funds. The commission is reviewing these chapters to determine the need to update, streamline and further clarify its business practices for grant and contract management to enhance public understanding and participation.
