Purpose: Amend personal use rules.

Citation of Existing Rules Affected by this Order: Amending WAC 220-56-235.

Statutory Authority for Adoption: Section 7, chapter 107, Laws of 2000.

Under RCW 34.05.350 the agency for good cause finds that immediate adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule is necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare, and that observing the time requirements of notice and opportunity to comment upon adoption of a permanent rule would be contrary to the public interest.

Reasons for this Finding: These rules are interim until permanent rules which were filed on July 24, 2000, take effect.

Possession limits -- Bottomfish.

Notwithstanding the provisions of WAC 220-56-235, effective immediately until further notice, the daily limit for Rockfish in Catch Record Card Areas 1 through 4 is 10 fish of which no more than 2 may be canary rockfish and no more than 2 may be yelloweye rockfish.
