Subject of Possible Rule Making: WAC 390-14-100 List of elected public officials.

Statutes Authorizing the Agency to Adopt Rules on this Subject: RCW 42.17.370(1).

Reasons Why Rules on this Subject may be Needed and What They Might Accomplish: This rule requires the Public Disclosure Commission annually to publish a list of elected public officials to assist lobbyist employers and others filing reports pursuant to RCW 42.17.180 to disclose whether their companies paid compensation to state elected officials, their family members or businesses with which officials (or their family members) held an ownership interest or directorship or other office. Process for Developing New Rule: This rule was examined as part of the agency's rule review process. That process includes input from stakeholders who are part of a Rules Review Advisory Committee.
