Make sure flanges are in good condition.

     You must:

     Make sure flange bearing surfaces are in good condition.

     Replace or remachine a flange with a mounting surface that has any of the following problems:

     Warped.

     Burred on the bearing surface.

     Excessively worn (thickness or diameter).

     Out of true.
